For those unfamiliar, Van Halen had a line in their rider that essentially said “no brown M&Ms.” It was a way to see if the promoter had actually read the contract. They had a shitload of gear to tour with, so if they’re skipping one thing, it’s guaranteed they’re skipping something essential.

A monumental film in my life. I didn't even know I was queer when I watched this for the first time in college, but to see someone openly, fiercely, and unapologetically queer, well, as a suburban college kid who always felt outside the norm, this was life-changing.
"It's given a lot of people permission to be themselves, to not dream it, be it, which is the motto of the movie, really. I would like to be remembered for that."
