Here’s the deal: I was not a Narnia kid, I was a Prydain kid. Lewis never had cohesive worldbuilding, which kid me clocked pretty quickly. I am not a fan of kitchen sink fantasy, especially with a modern setting (which probably also explains my early immunity to Harry Potter)
