I forget to post sometimes too.

I'm actually trying to switch to shorts-form only updates, like little 10-15 second videos. But I keep forgetting.

This whole 'let people know what youre making exists' thing is hard.

I need more trees for my games natural scenery, this is close to what I need, but I'm thinking weeping willows instead:

It's tough to get exposure for indiegames. Without engagement bait.

We really need more indie publishers with skills for sourcing promising indie titles and giving them fair publishing deals to handle the marketing side for them.

If one of my games is very successful, I might even look into it.

You post this every day lol, you really like impact frames. I mostly get your posts on my feed because I want to see how that works out for you.

I want to build engagement too, but I want to build it in an authentic way. I really respect my audience.

Wise choice, DR.Pepper is one of the best drinks ever invented.

So nostalgic.

Nice color in this. I like the cyan blue clouds, it's a simple but very readable art style. We don't really have to squint and look at it. Which is nice.

So you mean like right when the 'impact' is highest, create a few still frames? I guess that could be snappy, I do something like that for movement animations, you need stuff like that otherwise it looks uncanny.

I honestly did this for my first games trailer just because I thought that was what you were supposed to do.

Not because of an ego or anything. It's probably a lack of experience for most people.

It's a good take.

I would add that obviously there's nuance when it comes to when and how much you should do it. Like Xcoms notorious 90% misses, it can be fun to miss. And its fun when you know the roles are fair. Like true gambling games.

But that probably goes without saying.

Really only my eyes give me trouble. I got early cataracts and stuff at 30. But the rest of my body feels great. I'm glad I didn't get all the aches and pains a lot of people complain about at 30.

I'm also still very limber.

Video games did.

I just want to do for others what some gamedev did for me growing up. Make something that provides some small comfort and some example of heroes overcoming difficult times.

...I did the ultimate trailer sin. I showed my logo first.

Next time it'll start with something more engagement bait-like. Game is only 5 months old, I have time to figure things out.

The furry to artist pipeline needs to be studied.

I swear. It's so common.

I guess we all learned art so we can share our imagination with others. Warhammer figurines, or DnD campaigns, all born of the same nerdy desire to explore our own worlds.

Good progress, character design is huge for 3D.
