It's been 10 months since we lost my little sister unexpectedly.

Loss has been seemingly omnipresent the last few years. I wrote about this as part of my process & in hopes it helps us all take steps to more collective healing.

After 30+ years working in America, Ester gave up a third of her life savings to self-deport to Mexico — terrified of being incarcerated by ICE. She's now separated from her daughter.

Her story is the focus of Episode 2 of Fractured, a docuseries on the human toll of ICE enforcement.

The fact that someone with a documented history as a White House advisor can repeatedly use this language without any consequences demonstrates just how far this reactionary project to normalize racism and sexism has gotten, and how Black women are particularly targeted to advance it.
Laura Loomer’s racist attacks on Angie Nixon and other prominent Black women draw backlash
Nixon fired back at the far-right activist as Marjorie Taylor Greene publicly condemned Loomer’s remarks as “nasty” and “hateful.”

After the Washington Post fired me last year for speaking the truth in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, I fought back.

And I'm happy to announce: I won my case against the Washington Post.

They have been ordered to reinstate me immediately.

Yesterday ICE agents shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a father, husband, and beloved neighbor who spent 35 years building a life in the U.S.

Our hearts are heavy with grief for his family and all those suffering at the hands of ICE, CBP, and this administration's unrelenting cruelty.

He was also a co-founder of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party and the most visible white activist in the Mississippi movement
Rev. Ed King lived the kind of life that reminds us doing the right thing isn't always easy, but it's always worth it.

He stood with Mississippians fighting for justice when it would've been easier to stay quiet. Our state is better because he never backed down in the face of hatred and bigotry.

If you are asking someone to spend time away from their family & community in order to advance your goals, for free, you should at least be honest with what you're asking.
