my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. I'm in the strange position of being grateful for how truly awful my life was pre-transition (and how incredibly well transition worked for me purely as a medical/mental health intervention).
Even with everything it's still a miracle, every day, just to be here with all of you.
