Many behaviours associated with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) are actually signs of brain injury, not deliberate choices. Support where you can, and build on strengths rather than focussing on weaknesses.

People living with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) often understand far less than their language skills suggest. Looking capable doesn't always mean they can manage independently.

At least 20 legal rights are at risk under the Government’s SEND reforms. To stay on track we need to get to 50,000 signatures by Wednesday. Could all supporters please ask five more people to sign? Children can sign too.

We support calls by the @aha-uk.bsky.social to bring back the alcohol duty escalator

The period during which it was active (2008-2014) was the only sustained period in recent decades where alcohol-related death rates leveled off or dipped

The First Minister should join those calls
Campaigners working to tackle alcohol harm have penned a furious letter to John Swinney urging him against lobbying the UK Government on reducing duty, claiming it is at odds with his pledge to tackle domestic abuse

FASD isn’t a visible physical disability—it’s a hidden one caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. While some effects can be physical, most symptoms can’t be seen. Understanding FASD means recognising the challenges that aren’t immediately visible. #HiddenDisability #FASD
