If you've paid any amount of attention to the TERF and gender critical world this is kind of the end stage of how it works. A minor public figure expresses some agreement with GC views and is immediately rewarded and showered with praise and love and oftentimes money.
For me, the biggest takeaway from Sophie Cunningham’s hard launch into the right-wing culture wars is how *lucrative* bigotry is now. There’s an entire conservative media ecosystem that will turn anyone willing to make transphobia their personal brand into a well-compensated star.
