I picked up a copy of the collected letters of JRR Tolkien for reasons, and this is the most bullshit table of contents I've ever seen. I'm actively angry that it exists

If people are posting less, or fewer are posting, try following more people to fill your timeline up. It's highly unlikely that you already followed all the people you will like. Repost more. Recommend people to others more. Also over follow as this helps others find their people.

One of the first "outrageous" claims I saw as Jason Arday's media hounding unfolded was that he ran 30 marathons in 35 days!

Wow!

What a thing to claim!

And the newspapers all suggested there was no evidence he actually did it.

Well, they clearly didn't look very hard 🙄

Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.

He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.

In a quick scroll down my TL, I've seen lots of references to various right-wing nutters but none to intelligent leftist ideas. Which shows one of our problems. "Flooding the zone with shit" actually works - by stealing cognitive bandwidth from worthwhile things.

If you’re going to have cameras everywhere and fine people for pouring coffee down the drain you can’t then let organised criminals dump hundreds of trucks full of waste in a 150m long disaster and be like “oh, sorry, didn’t see anything, not our problem.”

So... I created a YouTube profile purely to subscribe to my son's Minecraft videos. If you're a middle aged guy in Britain with no watch history, this is the sort of content it recommends for you. Feels like YouTube promoting extremist content is at least as big a problem as Twitter promoting it.
