I’m simply not going to be lectured on what’s best for the LGBTQ+ community by folks who have no problem making bad faith assumptions while working directly with right wing media and activists to advance an agenda that harms LGBTQ+ families.
When I die I hope I think about Lisa Barlow crying in the back of an SUV as a blackout Luanne jumps in and says “How happy are we?” #RHUGT

Glad folks are appalled by photos of the "phone booth" cage under an awning, but pls understand: This IG report is likely part of a cover-up.

Amnesty Int'l interviewed detainees EIGHT MONTHS AGO who said the cage was half this size (couldn't stand up), had no awning, w feet chained to the bottom.

The Republican Party is chock full of open race scientists and Hitler apologists, so naturally our political press is laser focused on reckoning with “wokeness” and trans kids playing sports.

Turns out, my neighbors agree! We had a very good night here in Providence.
I was proud to early vote for Providence to become a laboratory of municipal socialism.
Over three times as many voters have cast ballots so far ahead of the Sept. 9 primary, compared to 2024. By @nancyklavin.bsky.social rhodeislandcurrent.com/2026/08/28/e...

From the very beginning of this recent obsession with identifying everyone online (yes, they like to call it "age" verification, but it always ends up as identity verification), we've been pointing out that it was a huge privacy nightmare waiting to happen. It’s because covering up the murder Black children is not disqualifying to that crowd. Any other answer is not an honest one.
Why do people in national media, such as Jen Psaki tonight on MSNOW, act like Rahm Emanuel would be a legit option for president?
Here in Chicago, we recall his administration's cover-up of the police murder of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald as well as many other reasons to say no fucking way to Rahm.

To be clear, the official position of the US government is that Black Haitian lives don’t matter and it is absolutely the institutional version of hate mail telling people to kill themselves

It’s genocidal

Embracing My Good Grief
I accidentally attended the premiere of Sara Bareilles: Good Grief at Tribeca. It forced an internal reckoning with grief of my own.

I think it is weird to tout the importance of Black leadership and then call everyone racist when that Black leadership is (rightfully) criticized.
