Of the 33 peer reviewed and highly successful papers Jason Arday produced, only two have been challenged. They were cleared once. They will be cleared again. But of those two only 3% has been cited as problematic. So 3% of 7% of his output. Can anyone do the math that makes Arday a plagiarist?

Sometimes I think about how Michael Gove was able to dismiss the Tories £ 10 billion PPE waste & industrial scale corruption as an ‘ honest ‘ error & UK media said ‘ Oh that sounds credible ‘ 🙄 & the story disappeared after 2 days .

Twice during an interview on the BBC’s #Today programme, Katya Adler referred to an interviewee “from a left-wing thinktank”.

I have NEVER heard the programme refer to anyone as “from a right-wing think tank”, though it pretty much exclusively goes to right-wing think tanks for their opinions.

To all my right wing friends - do you still argue that this is just weather, do you still dispute that the climate crisis costs lives….? The elderly, the young, the poor, the homeless - the people with the least pay the highest price for the climate crisis which is driven by the people with most.

The false dichotomy of govt spending: security or welfare.

We really have to work hard to kill the lie, constantly promoted by the media and politicians that there is NO MONEY. We can fund defence and social security.

There is plenty of money. The government can create as much as it needs - read this book!

The Nazis did not say “Vote for us and we‘ll give you death camps.”

They said “Vote for us and we’ll take back Germany, we’ll make your country pure, make you proud to be German.”

The lesson of history is clear and unequivocal.

Those who lie and manipulate hatred are leading you to only one place

Turned on the Today programme for perhaps the first time this year. Instantly presented with three minutes of Chris Mason: glib, inane, uninformative, utterly banal. Turned it off again.

The daft thing is that with Proportional Representation there'd be no need for this self-destructive war within Labour. It could split into its component parts - left and right - and people could vote for what they wanted. It's only First-Past-the-Post that forces these irreconcilables together.

This is it. America has lost Britain.
By insulting the British Army and those who fought and died alongside the US in Afghanistan, Trump’s America has destroyed the “special relationship.”
