I don't believe that's true because if that were true, it would mean that every decision I've ever made in my life was wrong or at least misguided and I would have to reevaluate my entire being and that's too much for me so I don't believe it and actually I'm now angry that you suggested it.

Hey, I’m just asking questions. Ignorant questions, bigoted questions, questions that have been repeatedly answered for many years. Sorry, but I’m not listening to answers right now; I’m far too busy asking questions. It’s called being intellectually curious.

Marques Brownlee cannot say anything too negative about any piece of tech cause he would risk damaging his relationship with the tech companies, which is another way of saying Marques Brownlee's reviews are entirely worthless to consumers.

Elliott Smith grew up lower class in genuinely horrible circumstances and his music reflected his subsequent struggle with alcoholism and depression and it's honestly fucked up for someone like Phoebe Bridgers - who came from a well adjusted upper middle class family - to copy his entire style.

Hi

I'm Anthony Jeselnik.
I read a lot of books.

That makes me smarter than you.

And I pause a lot in my comedy.

That way

I don't have to write as many jokes.

I was an early adopter of streaming platforms. I had Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and prime. Fuuck, I had Seeso until it folded. I paid for these services because I hate advertisements and I was happy to pay not to see them. Then they started showing ads. Now I pirate everything. Funny how that works.

Batman is a bad character.
Bruce Wayne could use his billions to fight crime with social programs and political reform but instead he's gonna keep playing dress up and beating the shit out of poor people until his parents come back to life

Honestly, my advice is to just never try to say one empire's brutal mass killings were better or worse than another. That's just a losing proposition.

It remains hilarious to me that Bouie blocked me over this.
The Link's Awakening remake is a great example of a game that recreates all of the content while completely butchering the vibe of the game. The graphics were wrong. The music was VERY wrong. Original is one of the greatest Zelda titles ever made. The remake is absolute trash.

If you refuse to make things a little better because you want things to be a lot better, things will get worse.
These people are fucking stupid

My take is that is that every AI ceo has hit a ceiling with their model. They can't get it to stop hallucinating. They can't get it out of the uncanny valley. But if they admitted that, the stock would tank. But if they pretend to slow it down for *safety*, then dum dums will keep buying it.

This man will believe anything told to him by a man in a suit and a smile
I don’t think the dynamics here are that complicated. Imagine a foot race where the winner gets a trillion dollars, but as the leaders of the pack approach the end line they see it’s at the very edge of a sheer 1000’ cliff. They would probably try to coordinate some slowdown.

The word cope is a verb. If you use it as a noun, your brain has been poisoned by online and you are now a huge loser. I'm sorry, I don't make the rules. What you need now is some kind of coping mechanism.

The absolute fucking brainstorms you'd have to have to equate "voting for a candidate" with "appeasement"
Some people are so obsessed with the concept of their own importance that they fully let their brains atrophy. These people are a disease that is killing society.
...you're in the mentions of someone who I'm in agreement with, not the other way around.

"How politics works" has given you a series of genocidal warmongers as president, culminating in Trump. Appeasement clearly doesn't achieve your aims; aims which I do believe are good, for what it's worth.

In case people haven't fully internalized who Ezra Klein is:
He wrote that piece because he believes that he and Charlie Kirk are of the same cloth. Neither of them are committed to their ideology. Neither of them have a soul. They take whatever positions they believe will advance their careers.
Not to beat a dead horse, but this is exactly why the whole Ezra Klein "he did politics the right way" thing was so fucking asinine. The right complaining about how we need to turn the temperature down after spending years cranking up the thermostat was a sight to see.

The French Broad River runs through Asheville, NC and is perfect for tubing and white water rafting, or just for sitting next to while you drink craft beer. It's the 3rd oldest river in the world, over 300 million years old.

(4th oldest river also runs through NC. Ironically called the New River.)

I would've been excited for the Ocarina of Time remake except that the Link's Awakening remake was so horrible that I don't trust nintendo to capture the vibe of the original at all. Nintendo haven't released a good zelda game since 2006

Baseball is so crazy. An umpire did a racism and the article about the incident doesn't mention the word racism even once because everyone in MLB is even more racist than this umpire.
All over a hat: MLB umpire turns memorable debut into entry point to America - Andscape
Doug Eddings didn’t ruin Hancel Rincon’s MLB debut by telling him to straighten his hat, but he made a young pitcher's moment about himself.
