John C. Calhoun wasn't a conservative; he was a radical. Stephen Miller isn't a conservative; he's a radical. "Tradition" isn't a real thing that once existed and we can go back to, or something worth conserving, but an imaginary place that they'll destroy the current world to create.

every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸

I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.

Man, athletes in other sports spend the rest of their lives with injuries and joint pain, and that's bad enough. They shouldn't lose their souls too. End CTE sports.
A new study shows an alarming rate of CTE among former NFL players: At least 1 in 4 who died from 2016 to 2021 had the degenerative brain disease. And the rate might be even higher.
