Why did the legislative drafter get fired from the production of Hamlet?

He refused to say 2(b) or not 2(b) without having first reviewed the text of 2(a)

… that was the opening joke at the drafting conference and I’m not sorry :p

Whenever I encounter a bad driver on the roads in DC I run their plates to see how many violations they have. This person, who cut me off this morning, has $10k in unpaid tickets in the last year.

Acosta has been director since 2008, essentially my entire career as an architect, writer, and NCPC watcher.

It’s a big change for DC, and I am sure there is more to the story.

Commissioner Lewis has made a name for herself as an opponent of Bloomingdale institutions including Big Bear and Pub and the People, the neighborhood farmers market, bike lanes — really any kind of change in the neighborhood.
Politics gets physical: Ward 5 Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Karla Lewis has been charged with simple assault for allegedly putting her shoulder into a woman at a public meeting. The conflict allegedly stemmed from disagreements over a proposed bike lane in Bloomingdale.

Another weekend being assaulted in our own homes by the absurd jingoism of these fighter jet flyovers
Hard to explain how disruptive this is. Every few minutes something rips through the sky with bone rattling sonic force. Cerulean serenity ripped open in a massive eruption of anger. The body halts and your flight or flight activates, adrenaline surging through you unnecessarily.

This is an elucidating window into the presidential transition last year.

Today in #Amtrak adventures… the cafe car on my overnight train was unexpectedly closed at 9:45a due to a biohazard. It won’t reopen until Washington, DC, around 3:30p (lots of delays). I feel sorry for the folks that didn’t get up for breakfast quickly.
