have people just forgotten that clipart and stock images exist? i swear to fucking god. that's what you did when you couldn't afford an artist or a graphic designer, and at least that still got a human paid somewhere along the line. it worked fine! it would stand out, in this landscape!
Glad to see this has been blowing up over on IG. Last Bookstore hosts a ton of artists-in-residence in the upstairs area, and this is so shameful and gross.

I’ll take this a step further and say, I believe we should be able to support an average-sized family on a single income at what we determine to be the minimum wage.

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽♀️

The internet is an attention economy that doesn't give a shit if you (or it) is right or wrong; every second you spend leasing eyes + ears + mouth + words + bandwidth to someone increases the likelihood you're shoveling $$$ at them.
Content creators and non creator friends, if there is one piece of advice I can offer in this current era of the internet:
