From the information available, it seems this US-Denmark deal over Greenland changes almost nothing. US had bases there before; US continues to defendsl Greenland because it s in NATO.

People have forgotten the purpose of the EU. It’s not trade – that’s a tool.
And it’s most certainly not about protection against the outside.
