A 100% chance of this asteroid hitting 1 spot somewhere on the planet in 2032 is still VASTLY preferable to the other. If we could trade an absolutely certain impact of this rock for the complete elimination of strategic nuclear weapons, that would be the best trade in history.

I've been following Giant Space Rock news every day now) about this thing with a 1-3% possibility of hitting one city with the power of one strategic nuclear weapon, although even if it hit it would likely not directly impact a metropolis and might even drop into the ocean.

The asteroid #2024YR4 is no longer a threat to Earth today: NASA, ESA and NEODys have impact probabilites for 2032 of 1 in 26k, 1 in 62k and 1 in 225k, respectively with astrometry until today.
