Good fun on tonight's RSGB 432MHz UKAC contest. My best yet for number of QSOs (35 ITL) and 14 grid squares worked. Shame I didn't manage to work very far up country but pleased to get a few outside the UK, one 🇧🇪 and three 🇫🇷 which included best DX at 274 miles. #70cms #SSB #QRP

Had a dabble with the RSGB 432MHz UKAC this evening from a local hilltop. Good fun and knocked out 9 QSOs in 15mins without really trying. Happy with that running QRP. Using a 15ele Yagi certainly helped, which conveniently, just fitted in the car without having to dismantle the boom 😁

Back to my SDR again. I pick up from where I left off. After moving my antenna around and listening to pilots landing at Birmingham, I decided to give my signal another go. I went back to SDR++ and immediately noticed something very strange! The same pulse, every second, was visible around three different frequencies. I could see the two spikes around 432MHz, 433MHz and 434MHz.

I always thought I was within 100km of Charing Cross by about a quarter of a mile but I just looked at the map on the RSGB website and it’s showing me as less than 20m *outside* the circle. Not that I have any plans to transmit between 431 and 432MHz but it’s good to know that I can if I want.
