#AI-derived
alignment for sure, but I think there's a legitimate argument to be made that "AI Safety" is specifically used by a subgroup of people whose goals are maybe not the same as those who have derived their information from e.g. the computational linguistics / NLP community

The Popularity-Bot they keep calling "AI" is not competent at all. It's like a soulless dog you can't pet, it just wants to tell you what it thinks you want to hear and will lie, cheat, and steal to do it. It was derived from charlatanism as base principles and therefore can never be trusted.

Stochastic Parrots or Singing in Harmony? Testing Five Leading LLMs for their Ability to Replicate a Human Survey with Synthetic Data
How well can AI-derived synthetic research data replicate the responses of human participants? An emerging literature has begun to engage with this question, which carries deep implications for organizational research practice. This article presents a comparison between a human-respondent survey of…

Fine article! An aspect for ageing societies: AI-powered robots substituting workforce seem attractive for them. But with tax revenues (primarily derived from labor) declining, funding their high social security bill would further be undermined. This would especially raise their need for tax reform.

With very little knowledge about AI, politicians should be able to parse improved safety through analogous thinking & expert advice. They should also be able to articulate the public good that govt will ensure is derived from AI. Let's use the automobile as an example. 🛺 🚗 🛺 🚗

Governing AI for ESG and SDG Outcomes in the Global South: a Systematic Review

This article strongly emphasizes the need for context-responsiveness, yet it leans heavily on documenting fragmented evidence from the Global South without providing a clear, empirically derived mechanism to prioriti…

Just like with the church, which told us only priests could mediate God’s truth (and used the power derived from this claim to amass incredible wealth), our new AI masters also work through mystification. The black box is the new God and they are the new high priests.

5/ Dissecting the Relativistic Drift for "Render Lag"

In this three-way cross-examination, the AI doesn't just accept the 4.3ns drift as a smooth natural curve. By colliding the patterns humans are conditioned to see with the raw logical sequences derived from pure quantum traffic,

"This approach constructs a "Frobenius structure" where elements act on the fibers of a line bundle spanned by coherent states, connecting the critical points of these spinor-derived functions directly to spectral Lagrangian intersections" (AI) it is glibberish, just rolling a dice with words
ppl hyperstate the abilities of generative AI. This technology uses 'probability' (stochastic processes) to weigh GIVEN information and then generates 'what is most probably true', an 'exponential process of superintelligence' is a bogus claim. AI functions by gathering information that is ess known
"The most complex danger involves capabilities that humans cannot even fathom. Once an AI enters a phase of recursive self-improvement—where it continuously rewrites its own code to become exponentially smarter" this is not really possible, stochastic processes cannot really become 'smart'

We end with guidance on how Psych & AI can benefit Cognitive Science if these traps are avoided.

This alternative approach disavows attempts to automate science—using machine learning or otherwise—and instead centers scientists’ own cognition.

I just live in a continuous headache derived from AI nonsense. Gates called AI the most dangerous thing humans have ever gone near. He said this against a backdrop of global warming, and even still the ever present threat of nuclear weapon armageddon.
