Archaeological excavations at Ardfert revealed the burial of a man dating to the early 13th century.
He was buried with a ring and a number of ornamental pieces of glass that were interpreted as the remains of a bishop's mitre.

Cian Flaherty, a second class pupil taught by Mrs Sheehan, recording a good wish as Gaeilge for Jessie Buckley.

Yes 🙂 these I think are the Ardfert pair (SMR KE013-001 Cahercarberry More & KE013-012 Cahercarberry Beg) near Tiduff townland?... the first has 3 banks, 1 earthen 2 stone (possibly remains of huts) whilst the 2nd has a convex double rampart. Hope this helps!
