Share your favorites with us in the comments below! In this episode of #AskAlice, one of our youngest interns, Savannah, had a conversation with Alice about this... When asked about her most memorable exhibition, Alice fondly recalled the✨𝗪𝗶𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗺: 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 exhibition from 2024. Wifredo Lam was a pioneering artist who skillfully blended European modernist aesthetics with Afro-Cuban imagery, and maintained a close connection to the Surrealist movement, notably through his friendship with Pablo Picasso. His artistic journey spanned across Cuba, Spain, and France, while his Chinese ancestry was often overlooked. This is why Alice found it particularly meaningful to introduce him to Hong Kong’s audience for the first time through our exhibition.
