There is a fork of VCV Rack with a specific number of redistributable free modules, called Cardinal. While it doesn't have all of the interesting modules, it has more than enough - and it can be a plugin (AudioUnit/CLAP/LV2/VST2/VST3) - something you have to pay VCVRack to do.

safe C++の文脈でSwiftが出てくるのはまあまあ納得感あるけど、自分もやはり現状ではC++ interoperabilityの観点でObj-C++にしちゃってるんだよな（AudioUnitを操作する部分だけ）
