Brits, please sign the petition to save BBC Radio 4 Extra. It costs tuppence ha'penny to run, is of national and cultural importance, and if the Beeb needs to save money, how about cutting down the endless layers of management?

The thing about #bbcradio4extra is that it is made up of shows/programming *that have already been made* so closing it down isn't really saving anything other than curation costs, at the expense of 80+ years of UK broadcasting history.

I thought they were completely ditching #BBCRadio4Extra but as long as it's still avaliable on #BBCSounds, then that's fine. I'm sorry for those who like things in real time but the sooner the BBC can divest itself of all but necessary live broadcast, the better.
