Today I used my #interrail pass on BLS boats as it's valid so I went to Thun and boarded the MS Thun Stad to Oberhofen 🇨🇭

A day out on Lake #Thunersee 🇨🇭 today, on board the #BernLötschbergSimplon #BLS steam ship #Blümlisalp. This beautiful vessel was built 120 years ago, and still operates as paddle steamer. Coal-fired originally, its steam engine is now powered by burning diesel fuel.
Going through the pictures taken yesterday at, and around, #Interlaken🇨🇭Ost train station, a busy hub for #SBB #BLS #Zentralbahn #Brünig and #BOB #Jungfrau Region services. Standard gauge and metre gauge trains meet here every half hour basically, ensuring almost seamless connections.

These stunning BLS RABe 528 trains took me from Brig to Spiez through the Bernese Alps. Beautiful route, and the trains are superb. There is even a vending machine bistro and dining area on these small electric units! 👌 🇨🇭🏔
