I’d tag in Julian Baggini, who is obviously attending, but he didn’t have any issues after his friend, Nina Power, was revealed to be obsessed with Hitler, so I don’t expect him to have issues with Yarvin

Sticking my neck out on this but compared to their previous output, it's a difference of *degree*, not kind, and this result wasn't unexpected (at least to me). We need to have the conversation as to how Baggini ever became a name in the UK philosophy scene at all. How did this happen?
The editor of The Philosophers' Magazine is happily retweeting Rupert Lowe and Christopher Rufo and accusing "woke academics" of inestimable public harm re COVID lockdowns. We're well past the "just asking questions" stage

The philosopher Julian Baggini concluded that the British National Dish was in fact The Meal Deal. A sandwich, chocolate bar or crisps, and drink, eaten at a desk.
Fundamentally the big British contribution to global cuisine is sandwiches and the American one is burgers/hot dogs. They are the same. Put meat/cheese/maybe a tiny bit of lettuce inside wheat and eat it as fast as possible with as many disguising familiar-flavoured relishes as possible.

Around 15 years ago, I read a library book about philosophical thinking and how to improve your life, and I've never been able to find it since then.

The theme & content sound like Julian Baggini's book (published 2023), but can't have been that since I read it a long time ago.

Can anyone help?

Absolute master class in elite epistemology from Julian Baggini. Nina Power is his friend, therefore she cannot be fascist, therefore anyone who provides evidence that she is fascist is unreliable and he has no need to look at the evidence.
Julian Baggini has yet to condemn his friend, Nina Power, after she repeatedly expressed pro-fascist thinking, antisemitism, overt racism, and anti-trans hate, after he said if it ‘turns out [she is] a fascist you can expect full condemnation from me’

There’s a certain type of public philosopher in the UK (I’m talking about Nigel Warburton and Julian Baggini specifically), who, when I’ve confronted either in private or in public over their past actions, deflect and deny. All I want is for them to apologise to the people they harmed and do better

'Nationalism has been ascendant across the continent, and Euroscepticism ceased to be a peculiarly British phenomenon years ago. Could the announcement that British students are to be readmitted to Erasmus+ provide some hope that the internationalist dream is not dead yet?'
