Wow, on this day 12 years ago, I was 30 days post-brain surgery, still having nightmares from the pain medication and the staples were still in my scalp. #memories #brainsurgerysurvivor #epilepsy

#TIL my neurosurgeon wrote my birthday brain surgery up so I would have a solo room for pre-op and post-op in such a way the hospital couldn’t refuse it or charge me extra for it. Then the hospital waived the bill. Yeah, he’s pretty awesome. #Epilepsy #BrainSurgerySurvivor

On this day in Dec 2014 - My October 3 Birthday Brain AVM/Aneurysm removal surgery was declared a SUCCESS by the neurosurgeon 🎉 and I went on to do boot camp, law enforcement officer, law school, Bar exam and attorney.
