I have been to "the south" (Charlotte, NC) and it definitely has craft breweries and really any number of other hip food options.

The big craft beer news for northern Bosnia is that Banja Luka's The Master Craft Brewery 🇧🇦 is closed, people here are telling me it's gone for good. Breweries, especially independent ones don't grow on trees here. I visited back in 2019 so it's a sad loss.
