I've not seen any bike wheel rails/ramps on stairs at train stn around here. With a bike you are left to haul it up & down any bridge stairs if needed. Fortunately I can cope with my 12kg ish bike, but eg e-bikes are heavier; not all are able. Needs sorting. #NetworkRail #GWR #cycling #KingsSutton

But if you could do Edinburgh -> STN -> Heathrow in a reasonable time you can really hub and spoke the most important flights to Heathrow and still have a reasonable connection to the less important flights via a direct train

Up here in Toronto you mostly need a car, save for a few nearby places that the GO train gets you to (thinking hiking half way out Long Island). Jealous that you can get to the Jersey Shore beaches from Penn Stn! (Which I suppose is same as it's NJ transit I think)

I know its just a commentary but good lord this article is bad. The only thing I can agree is pushing back against security demands re: bikes. The split station arrangement specifically has the benefit of better crowd management due to the longer walk and it prevents overwhelming Great America Stn.
