The IUCN SSC CSSG is pleased to announce an important legal precedent for the conservation of cacti and succulents. An Italian court has convicted two traffickers on charges related to smuggling of over 1,000 cacti, mostly Copiapoa, from the Atacama Desert.

This is important context re WE & #JesseBrown. However, the Canadian Student Services Grant program (CSSG) that #WECharity was chosen by the civil service to administer (not by Trudeau or his staff), was not a sole source contract, it was a transfer payment program - at the height of the pandemic.
