Quick tip: MV3 service workers go dormant after ~30s of inactivity.

Use chrome.alarms to keep yours alive. Silent SW death looks like "extension stopped working" to users with zero errors to debug.

Refactoring trial logic across 2 extensions today.

Edge case that bit me: user upgrades, reinstalls on new device. Valid subscription but local trial_state reset to 'free'.

Fix: always verify tier server-side on install.

Shipped Procshot v0.3.2 — full i18n.

Every string now routes through chrome.i18n.getMessage(). Found 23 hardcoded strings in BrandingSettings alone.

Just fixed a Chrome extension bug: all popup buttons dead.

esbuild preserves import.meta.env.DEV in ESM output, but Chrome service workers have no import.meta.env → TypeError → SW crashes on load.

One-line build script fix. Hit 2 of my extensions.
