This is a black-and-white advertisement from Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, featuring a large photo of a twin-engine propeller airplane on a runway, facing forward. The headline at the top reads “Acceptance” in elegant cursive. Below the image, a block of text highlights the success of the Lockheed Lodestar, introduced as the world’s fastest transport aircraft. The ad notes that in just two years, Lockheed expanded its production by 600% to support the wartime demand for bombers and fighters in 1941. It emphasizes Lockheed’s shift from commercial transport to military aircraft, while expressing hope for a return to peace and civilian aviation. At the bottom, the ad encourages readers to “Look to Lockheed for Leadership,” with “Lockheed” written in bold, stylized script.
