Nice! I wish more repeaters carried dapnet out here. Right now I use a hotspot for my pager and wrote some python programs to relay messages and weather alerts based on my APRS location.

I have now switched from Pi-Star to WPSD for DAPNET and POCSAG. I hope this runs more reliably.

Seems like the situation is - the V1 software has atrophied and needs to be built with a 5-year-old version of Rust.

I'm thinking about splitting the packet radio stuff onto another shelf, and make a splitter-buffer for this one to run both rigs. Just waiting to find out if DAPNET are okay with simulcasting, and if my licence conditions allow such shenanigans.

It's going well! I swapped the Pi for the one with the SQ6POG MMDVM HAT and set up my old Python test scripts. One of the pagers went beep-beep!
It's just a shame the transmitter isn't on the DAPNET frequency. That means I ned to find a Motorola RIB box, cables, and a PC that'll run MCS2000 RSS.

Having now confirmed that the hotspot is working ok on my budget friendly internet connection I have disconnected it from Hubnet for today, it will still periodically transmit POCSAG paging data for DAPNET though not all of it goes to my pager #hamradio

Looking into the kit, how it works, the coding required, etc.
Spotted some nice looking 70cm based pagers on eBay, but couldn't see the ric/rid numbers, which could cause an issue if bought for the sole use for POCSAG/Dapnet paging.
