Board game time for me and Kit, once again delving into one of our favourite classic late 80s OoP Games Workshop board games: Dungeonquest!
In and out of Castle Dragonfire in 12 hours through a randomly drawn maze, but mind the sleeping dragon when you reach the treasure chamber!

I think Gary Chalk did DungeonQuest as well (though there was much less artwork in that) and a fair amount of other GW stuff in the 80s. For my birthday this year I treated myself to a signed and numbered print from his website. I need to get it framed.

Ohhh, I loved seeing the Talisman boxes and artwork in White Dwarf. Never had it, but it's linked in my head with 1st Edition Space Hulk and DungeonQuest.

I have always described this game as "similar to playing Dungeons & Dragons with a DM who hates your guts" - it's a short (no more than an hour...and often shorter!), brutal & intensely fun experience game/dungeon crawl.

No RPG session today due to illness, so we introduced our younger players (19 and 21) to the boardgame Dungeonquest. They had a great time and were very impressed by the idea of a boardgame set up for "everyone dies" to be the most likely ending.
