Epiphany

A render done some years ago in Cinema 4D and Redshift that I revisited and did some new postwork on it. Done by a human in a render software, no AI :)

Is it scifi? Yes, I think it'll pass as scifi ... :)

Forest Sage - Blender Animation

Rendered in Cycles at 512 and 256 samples, which took about 95 hours and really fried my system. Lots of flaws, but the end result was pretty satisfying. The animation is on my YouTube

Hey everyone, thought I'd share some workflows in blender. This one is about how to make ornaments around columns fairly easily and with good proportions!

First start with curves, and make your shape on a 2D plane. Use some extrusion and ALT + S to have different widths at each curve point. Add an array for how many of these you'll want. Add a Simple Deform modifier set on bend 360 degrees. The perimeter of the column and the width of your shape should be equal (it accounts for the array as well)
