Synthesizing 100 measurements from 44 dioecious species, male trees dominate drought tolerance via conservative water use, while combined warming-drought stress disproportionately impairs females.

With species that are dioecious, like this one, you get more males than females. "Scientists" say it's because seed production is biologically more expensive. I know, because I did my own research, its because high T buff Jesus, who invented this, hated woke.

SOME cultivated Asian persimmon (D. kaki) varietals were developed to be self-pollinating & you only need one tree.

Diospyros virginiana is the native persimmon. You need both male and female trees in order to get fruit.

Saw a jojoba plant at the nursery the other day and immediately bought it dreaming of pressing my own oil or whatever. Today, I'm hanging out watching videos about native plants as one does and hear "this is jojoba, it's dioecious --" heck. Guess I gotta buy a couple more.

Actually, this is false. Ther term DSD stands for differences in sexual development, not disorders, and it is not synonymous with intersex. An intersex person is someone who has a mixed phenotype, whereas a person with a DSD may be intersex or may not be.

There are 5 dioecious sexes (not 1-2

Dioecious Poa species diversification parallels dune formation in Atlantic coastal ecosystems
The southern Atlantic coastal dunes form a dynamic and recent landscape shaped only 6000 years ago. Using population-level phylogenomics, we investigated h

To be pedantic, that’s the female flower, and cannabis is dioecious. So no pollen is correct.

I have. I’ve also studied botany. There is no “dust” from female plants. You know what “dioecious” means, right?
Look it up.
Ever wonder why we cull male (pollen producing) plants?

XXY is a karyotype, and has nothing whatsoever to do with gender/sex. Also, almost everyone with Klinefelters is AMAB.

And there are literally dozens of chromosomal combos.

And there are 5 dioecious sexes, not 6.

Same fitness, different costs for females and males: a commentary on ‘Diverging sex ratios in dioecious Proteaceae are exacerbated by anthropogenic disruptions to the fire cycle’
Every offspring has both a mother and a father and this simple fact constrains the average fitness of females and males to be equal (Fisher, 1930). In plan

The quote is pseudoscientific far right religious extremism.

There are not two sexes. There are 5 dioecious sexes, and sex is a spectrum in humans.

Gender and sex are the same thing. Gender is the social expression of sex.

This is right wing pseudoscience. There are not two sexes (there are 5 dioecious sexes, according to my friend @sobekhotep97.bsky.social who is a biologist).

Cis male and trans male are not genders. Nor is “queen”.

Talarico is wrong, and is denying the existence of intersex and trans people.
September 13, 2026 at 2:53 AM
Queer is not a gender. It’s an umbrella term for LGBTQ people. Cis people can be queer.

It is completely pseudoscience. Sex is a bimodal spectrum, and there are 5 dioecious sexes.

Sex and gender are synonyms. The idea that they are different comes from the far right, to deny that trans people 1-2

The common sotol, also called "desert spoon" for the spoon-shaped leaves, is 'dioecious'. meaning each plant produces either white, pollen-heavy male blooms or purple-pink to brown female flowers.

The word for today is… ginkgo (noun) - : a gymnospermous dioecious tree (Ginkgo biloba) of eastern China that is widely grown as an ornamental or shade tree and has fan-shaped leaves and foul-smelling yellowish fleshy seed coats, called also maidenhair tree Source : Merriam-Webster Etymology : There is only one living representative of the gymnosperm order Ginkgoales, and that is the tree Ginkgo biloba. Native to China, the ginkgo has existed for some 250 million years and is often termed a living fossil. It has long been planted in Chinese and Japanese temple gardens, and is valued in many parts of the world as an attractive, fungus- and insect-resistant ornamental tree. It tolerates cold weather and can survive the adverse atmospheric conditions of urban areas. The light-colored wood, is soft and weak and has little economic value. The leaves are fan-shaped and leathery. The silvery nut, when roasted, is considered a delicacy. Studies have suggested that ginkgo supplements can enhance memory function in the elderly and delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. **_If you enjoyed this Good Oil word of the day please consider sharing it with your friends and, especially, your children._**
