well, i spent the time BSD was installing getting the EmuTOS development environment set up! now I can set up a new target and set my system up to netboot the image!

Und wenn wir mehr in die professionelle Ecke wollten, dann haben wir immer den Umweg über den Shapeshifter genommen und aus dem Amiga nen Machintosh gemacht. Mit EmuTos gibt es jetzt sogar eine Möglichkeit die alte Software auf anderen Plattformen weiter zu nutzen. Schon cool.

I never found the Atari ST's OS especially attractive, and the color scheme is garish af, but it was more portable and flexible, so the open source EmuTOS is very portable. But, like the Amiga (WinUAE is the emulator to get, or FS-UAE for other OS's), it's tied to the 68000. emutos.sourceforge.io

Feels like every time I see a neat retro Sega project these days, once I look under the hood it's obvious it's AI generated. Latest example is a port of emuTOS to Mega CD. Not disclosed, but a quick look at PLAN.md in the repo makes it fairly obvious

Yet another small holdover update... I've added a variety of color palettes and some icon themes based on the Mac System Software, GEM, and EmuTOS. I've also reorganized the "Decorate Desktop" preferences panel.

Nanoraptor is known for her wonderful retro Photoshops so I'd say this isn't real. Would love to have a 68k Mac in this form factor though! The closest thing to this I've seen in reality is EmuTOS running on an Alphasmart Dana.
