Reminds me of how Patreon has gone (itself, HQ'd in Ireland which isn't really forcing them to be this way but I digress, they put facescanning in during 2022).

I fucking hate facescanning in videogames. I hate noticing that one character looks weird because they look exactly like the VA. And then seeing that exact same face in like 3 other games that also facescanned them.

Facescanning sounds absolutely atrocious to me. Everytime I see a customer (I work at a bakery) that needs to scan their face before using Apple Pay I wonder wth just disable this rubbish and use the 6-digit lock instead. I haven't opted into it on my Phone.
