#favouritefind was probably the St Dabeoc’s Heath from Galway last week, or the Yellow Vetch from Shoreham-by-Sea back in June

One solitary Bee Orchid caused me to gasp when I found it. Tucked amongst a bank of weeds on a busy mountain lane where the iron works and coal mining had ripped the earth apart . Never seen them before. #Wildflowerhour #FavouriteFind @wildflowerhour.bsky.social

#FavouriteFind for this year has to be the Purple Milk-Vetch in Norfolk; I didn't know what it was when I first saw it but thankfully I had the excellent help of the #NorfolkFloraGroup

My #FavouriteFind this year was the reappearance of the Ladies Tresses on a little lawn next to a communal parking area. They had a year off in 2023 (drought and over zealous mowing) so it was great to see one again! 🤞🏼more next year
We transplanted these 25 years ago from a lawn that was being dug up for development. Planted them in a tiny patch of short grass. Numbers vary every year, twelve flowering shoots in 2022, none last year in the drought, one so far this year. 🤞🏼
