Whisker Wednesday, starring: Scotty 😻
He’s got a cautious heart, a killer kick, and the kind of eyes that stop you in your tracks.
Soft on the inside, and mildly spicy on the outside—just how we like our Felvies.

My goodness, folks it's National Cat Day! How about a parade of some of our favorites to commemorate the occasion.
A trio of sweet felvies, including Callie, Ebi, and Coraline. Then there's our big Bruce, showing you how it's done on the scratch pad 💚

Friday was bitter - sweet - sad.
Big is - was - our oldest #FIPwarrior. Without him I would have never learned to inject those meds!! He was among the first #FeLVies to be treated & paved the way for all the others when clinics still denied FeLVies could #survive #FIP
He LOVED HIS CATNIP

So fun tidbit, this treatment has been shown to increase FELV+ cat lifespans. FIP is one of the main litters of felvies

I was the “reliable” foster who told our cat team about the treatment option when it was just rolling out. The impact it’s made on FeLV+ cats is huge. FIP is one of the big killers of Felvies

We know our time with our felvies is often short, but the loss is never easy. We had to say goodbye to our sweet Pawl, who brightened our lives more than words can express.

A friend to FeLVies?!? ::gets oit wallet::
A kind woman stepped in, got him the care he needed, and nursed him back to health. But when Franklin tested positive for both feline leukemia and FIV, his options for a safe future vanished. Luckily, we ha space for him at Shadow Cats! And we've found him to be a sweetie!
