You’ll never see centrists just come out and say “we oppose this because we need to protect capital.” Instead the Right identifies some scapegoat “other” that represents a threat from outside the state. The fearmongering creates a need to “protect the state” and stands in for capital.

The ads are all fearmongering trying to convince seniors the govt is gonna use it to come after their retirement accounts and assets. I was seeing about 10 ads a day against it for a while.
