Do I spot an incredible deal at #FoodBasics here?

Wondering when Canadian grocers are going to stop stocking American produce. No one is buying it!!!. The fruit flies buzz around a full display of over ripe tomatos. The cauliflower looks good but it's American so its not selling. The romaine lettuce from US is all brown. Just stop. #foodbasics

The motive, move the product. #FoodBasics in Ontario 🇨🇦 sure seems to try, but their definition of "🇨🇦ian" is, well… flexible. A 🍁 slapped on mostly 🇺🇸 goods, with profits heading south. #Loblaws, ever the patriot, just not for this country. Heinz, Ritz, and Kraft not 🇨🇦n at all. ❤️🇨🇦

Sneaky companies are so desperate to get their increasingly fuller warehouses to empty, many 🇨🇦n grocery chains are enabling, namely #FoodBasics owned by #MetroInc, and #NoFrills owned by #Loblaws. They show they don't care except, "Where's my Money!" ❤️🇨🇦

It is the corporations who are in charge of food prices, they really don't care if people go hungry -they care about their share price and shareholders -the wealthy among us. Stop #greedflation #foodprices are out of control. #Loblaws #Metro #Zehrs #FoodBasics #NoFrills #Superstore #Sobey
Corporate greed, particularly among grocery monopolies, is what’s really driving up food prices in Canada.

“It should be obvious by now that neither Trudeau nor the carbon tax had any impact on your grocery bills.”

Let’s not forget the Coutu family (Metro/FoodBasics) and the Sobeys (Safeway/IGA+++).

The 3 families control a massive proportion of our groceries … better than the Waltons, I suppose, but not by much.

If you’ve followed me, you know I often call out 🇨🇦 grocery chains for mislabeling 🇺🇸n products. This week, #FoodBasics in Ontario is labeling Coke and Pepsi as 🇨🇦ian. Because when I think of Coke, the first thing that comes to mind is "What a great Canadian product!" ❤️🇨🇦

Sneakiness in 🇨🇦n stores is escalating, especially with misrepresented products. It’s disappointing to see processed or packaged goods falsely labeled as Canadian just to push sales. #FoodBasics, part of the #Metro group, has been especially notorious for this lately. ❤️🇨🇦

It says "Product of USA" right below it lol. Canadians know this is not a product of or made in Canada. Nice try Cambells

That’s what I’m doing. Look what I found the other day at FoodBasics. No more 🇺🇸 lettuce for me.

🇨🇦ian grocery chains are lying in flyers outright. This #FoodBasics ad (mainly in Ontario) misuses the 🍁 label. Kraft, Pepsi, Doritos & Frito-Lay are all 🇺🇸n. And that’s just one page, half their 🍁 labels are actually 🇺🇸n. "Processed/Produced in 🇨🇦" doesn't mean 🇨🇦ian product; it’s 🇺🇸n owned.
