Gics treat us with contempt and always have. We are subhuman to them.
Oslo University Hospital caught using trans patients' journals for research purposes:
- Without the patients' consent to participate in research
- Affecting minors
- 1700 of them

Gics treat us with contempt and always have. We are subhuman to them.
There’s a tendency amongst cis allies to think GICs just need more money to get through the wait list & that will resolve trans healthcare. I used to think this too.
GICs are set up to gatekeep transition, to make it as difficult as possible to access a treatment cis people can get from their GPs.

We have heard that the Green Party has passed a motion at conference calling for desegregation of trans healthcare and to end the practice of GICs and to move it to primary care.

Just attacking Labour over puberty blockers is really missing the mark tbh. Yes, they've been bad there. However:
- planning to ban us from SSS
- sports ban
- presiding over GPs no longer providing HRT
- No fixing of GICs
- Cabinet full of GCs
- Agreeing with the media against us
- betraying GRR

trans medicine in the UK isnt even underfunded its just that all the funding goes to not giving people medicine. just have informed consent HRT and delegate care to GPs and endocrinologists. you dont need to have GICs *at all*

Imagine if the NHS just said to GPs, you have our permission to prescribe HRT to trans people. GICs are there for complex cases and advice, but you're free to do it. If stuff goes wrong, refer to GICs or endos as you do for the cis.
