The upcoming pricey and strangely designed GPD WIN 5 is coming later this year, and it's now confirmed to have support for Bazzite Linux.

Move over SD Express, there's a new high-speed removable storage format on the way. Chinese storage company Biwin has introduced a new Mini SSD that's just a tiny bit larger than a microSD card, but which leverages a PCIe Gen 4 x 2 connection for NVMe 1.4 drives with read/write speeds up to 3,700 MB/S and 3,400 MB/s, respectively.

Well this certainly isn't going to help bring down the skyrocketing prices of RAM & SSDs. Micron has announced it's shutting down its Crucial brand of memory & storage products for consumers in order to focus primarily on meeting the ever-growing demand for enterprise products. Thanks AI. You will still find Crucial products on store shelves for a little longer - the company says it'll keep shipping its consumer products until the end of February 2026.

AMD's Ryzen AI Max and Max+ processors, also known by the code-name "Strix Halo" are mobile chips that combine up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores with up to 40 RDNA 3.5 GPU compute units. Positioned as a solution for gaming laptops and mini PCs that can function as AI workstations, the chips are also starting to show up in handheld gaming computers.
