A little bruised, a little forgotten, but still full of goodness.

These quinces spent the last few weeks under the tree providing food and shelter for the micro-ecosystem below. Today they start their next chapter in the compost.

Pollinators come in all shapes and sizes, even love bugs. Caught this little one hanging out on a spring onion, doing its part in the garden.

This little pollinator was busy gathering nectar today, and I love watching them work. Basil flowers might be tiny, but they’re an amazing food source for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.

🦎 This little guy is keeping an eye on my citrus! Although they are invasive in Hawaii, green anoles are good garden helpers, eating pests like aphids and mosquitoes.

How do you feel about Hawaii's non-native anoles and geckos?
