So, when looking at the Sahel, one cannot help but spot the behemoth that is JNIM, arguably the most powerful al-Qaeda affiliate atm. I personally think they are very short distance from cousin in Somalia.

Its first leaders like Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahrawi, were of Arab/Berber Sahrawis descent. It matters to this day - while the rank-and-file troops is a mosaic mirroring socities on the ground ISGS/ISSP has always had a "white" man in charge - and it continues even today.

6/ Cette précédente attaque avait été revendiquée par la Province de l'Etat islamique dans le #Sahel (ISSP ou #ISGS ). Son ampleur était plus importante que le 18 juin, avec un bilan incertain mais des dégâts matériels majeurs (destruction d'un drone turc #Aksungur et d'appareils militaires).
