Protests also imply some sort of mass ingathering - which, yes, has happened! - but a vast majority of of the visible local activism is literally people standing on their own stoops and street corners of their own blocks.
Protests happen, but most of what is happening in Minneapolis isn’t protesting.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

We combined our 9 & 11 o'clock services at 10 for our pledge ingathering/Celebration Sunday. It was great to have all of the choirs sing and a VERY long procession. Lots of energy and lunch provided after church.

LORDY, today at church was a complete disaster. One of the acolytes lit another’s hair on fire. The thurifer tried to hand our (low vision) priest a loaded censer, instead of the incense boat he was expecting. Nobody knew what to do at our little pledge ingathering ceremony. But, we made it through.
