I shouldn't have to put Kapton tape on my RAM to make my new laptop boot @frame.work maybe include a E0 LPCAMM2 interposer since you know so many of us have E0 memory we bought from OEMs because no one can find LPCAMM2 modules

Kapton tape on phone camera lens makes a nice filter. I use it because the glass covering my lens is broken, but effect now seems like an improvement.

Just a dab so they can be removed another time if needed.
The upper screen ribbon cable goes through the hinge.
Getting it through the first half involved tightly wrapping the cable and then Kapton Tape to keep it together.
Then the Aries and mic cables go through the middle later.

I cracked my Retroid Pocket Nova open to swap around the back (ended up going back to the flat back because I didn't like the texture of the ergo back) and to add a layer of kapton tape in the center of the d-pad dome switches.
The included tools and screws suck, but iFixit/LTT bits worked fine.

je tente avec un morceau de kapton qui a pule la bonne largeur, ça couvre les pin 1-2-3 mais normalement c'est que du 3.3v dessus (c'est le 3e qui est responsable de la mise en veille du disque) donc ça devrait **théoriquement** marcher

Damn but this computer uploads crap quality. The drawing is vector so it’s sharp all the way close up. It looks kinda muddy here. I’m trying to decide on a background color for the panel itself — I believe it’s actually Kapton film, sort of a metallic orange irl

Continuing to build this thing up. Although it’s a simple representation, it shows all the tiny little parts that go into any kind of spacecraft. Underneath all that gold foil you always see (actually layers and layers of Mylar and Kapton film), there’s always lots of tiny little boxes.

I started by lifting the requisite pins from the DSP and placing some kapton tape over the pads afterwards.

Did some soldering today. Attached the wire to my minidisc remote breakout board, then wrapped in kapton tape, and heatshrink tube. Id love to say its not going anywhere, but I'm sure it will, that's why I've ordered a pcb to replace it. Bonus pic, the smallest thing I've ever soldered.

I started by opening it up to inspect it, clean out the dust bunnies and get the recap done. I found a Console5 kit lying around and used it for the very purpose. Covered up the sensitive areas with kapton since I was going to use hot air.

Keine Ahnung, was die in das chinesische Kapton-Tape reinmischen, aber als ich neulich zwei Lagen in meinen Lötkolben geklebt hatte, ist mein armer Ikea-Rauchmelder binnen weniger Sekunden angesprungen, und piept noch nach einer Woche traumatisiert los, sobald ich eine Batterie reinlege. 😱

Peeled back the ends and wrapped the acrylic in kapton tape just to be safe. If anyone ever copies this, do the tape first😅

Next job will be soldering wires salvaged from a usb cable to the tiny copper tape traces, hopefully without melting anything. 😅
