Foster care agencies & state child welfare programs often don't communicate clearly that immigrant children are in *temporary* placements. And while foster families & agencies should be doing everything they can to maintain a child's connection w/a parent while separated, that doesn't always happen.

A lot of folks are still missing that the 14th Amendment also covers Parental and Children's Rights: due process is part of the protections for families to inherently exist and belong to each other *reciprocally AND *expansively. 1/?

Transferring #attachment is possible, and advisable vs. continued separation resulting in lifetime #Adoption/ #Separation #Trauma. They're also not at all worried about this when they're adopting kids out and only require 30day transitions for infants & toddlers to go to adoptive homes.
