Had always wanted a Linhof and finally got one, though I’d have guessed it years ago would be a Technikardan or Master Technika — never guessed it would be a pano.

That makes sense and mirrors my experience with my different 4x5 cameras. My current favorite is a Wista VX. Basically a Linhof master tech clone. It lacks some of the movements of the others. I have all my cameras set up to take the same lens board. So that helps. No perfect solution.

not judging, I have a half finished hp5 in the 6x9 back for the Linhof for over a year now 🤣 for some reason I got a block for this camera and can't force myself to take it out again and I want to badly
