I have the same slant while also finding it difficult to square with (correct) admonitions against republicans over the last 10 years to please put country before party.

Understood. However people want a Dem party that fights. Part of that fight is speaking out loudly about principles and loyalty. MAGA enforces party discipline. Dems can’t have the same degree as diversity is (should be) the brand but loyalty is important. Leaders need to set the example.

In my eyes, he was simply indestructible—always by my side, through everything. And we never even had a contract. Marty can never be replaced, and I will be forever grateful for his friendship, loyalty, and unwavering support.

But Haley Stevens, Hillary Scholten, and others must think their reservations about El-Sayed trump party loyalty. I doubt most Democratic primary voters agree.
I do not view El-Sayed's relationship with Piker or his stances on Israeli policy to be urgent matters like stopping the genocide in Gaza in 2024. Francesca Hong seems to have (correctly in my view) put aside her differences on data centers with David Crowley enough to campaign hard for him.
It is hard to separate your expectations of party loyalty from your policy views. So I felt it was appropriate for left-leaning people to criticize Harris during the 2024 general election for the administration that she was a part of condoning and aiding the mass killing of Palestinians.

They could have done this years ago without AI facial recognition by just having you scan a loyalty card when you get in line; but 1) they know full well that nobody actually wants this stupid shit and 2) the personalized menu is obviously not why they want to scan your face
