lol...being Arab has NOTHING to do with it. hell there is a big Lebanese community in my town. you do know Maronite Christians are Arabs, right? Turkey is a secular state with a Muslim majority. Egypt is a secular state. So is Lebanon.
Secularity and Islam are not incompatible. Hamas is.

Three months after Syriac Maronite environmentalist Mona Khalil was killed by an Israeli airstrike, her fight for Lebanon’s turtles lives on
MANSOURI, Lebanon — The war reached Mona Khalil’s home before it reached the turtles she had spent more than two decades protecting. On 4 June, an Israeli strike hit the Orange House, her family home on the coast of Mansouri, severely injuring Khalil and a domestic worker. Khalil, 76, died from her wounds two weeks later, leaving behind one of Lebanon’s most unusual environmental legacies — a narrow strip of Mediterranean beach where generations of volunteers learned to protect endangered sea turtles in a country where war, pollution, coastal development, and political neglect have repeatedly competed with conservation.

Unboxing an amazing delivery of St. Charbel oil from St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ. Got 200 bags of blessed oil-soaked cotton balls for just $100 – truly a powerful sacramental. Remember, these holy items need to be buried or burned, not trashed.

That wasn't what Lebanon was ever supposed to be, it was a Maronite hegemony backed by French arms deals. The Muslims knew the census was rigged and were intending to wage a war to undo that, and it was the PLO that tipped them over but it would have happened without them.

One of Lebanon’s big problems is that Israel & The West have selected Maronite Christians as their partners of choice with other communities kept in check. And of course power elites entrenched, corrupt. President *has* to be Christian. After the Phalangist massacres by Christians too.

he accused me of anti-Arab hatred right after I told him of the persecution of Maronite Christians in Lebanon, many of whom settled into my town and created a yearly Lebanese festival. I also lamented persecution of Sufis and he accused me of anti-Muslim hatred despite them being Muslims.
September 22, 2026 at 3:12 AM
Huh? Sufis are Muslim, no doubt about it.

And Maronite Christians are absolutely Arab. Where in the complete hell are you getting this?
September 22, 2026 at 3:00 AM
JFC, you are saying Sufis are not Islam now? or Maronite Lebanese are not Arabs? my GOD you truly are intolerant AND ignorant.
